Estate Settlement: After a death, the Executor or
Administrator of the estate has to ascertain all the property of the decedent,
pay the last bills and estate taxes, and then distribute the estate to the
heirs. As an attorney, I frequently serve as an Executrix as well as an
attorney for the Executor.
Independent Trustee: I also serve
as a non-family member “independent” or “co-trustee” for some forms of trusts,
such as life insurance trusts.
